Founded in Washington, D.C., Grimm Winter is an alternative band that combines elements of folk, 90's alt/indie rock and punk for their own authentic sound with strong storytelling. On February 17th, Grimm Winter released their debut EP titled Sojourn, a five-song journey which puts the band's songwriting and musical chops on full display.
In this episode, Mike talks with Andrew (lead guitar/backup vocals), Casey (guitar/vocals), and Clay (lead singer) about the formation of Grimm Winter, how they got into music, the D.C. music scene and history, the artwork and recording process behind Sojourn, and more.

Hailing from San Antonio, Texas, Mourning Sun is a five-piece metalcore band comprised of Jerecho Barrera (vocals), Coby Gutierrez (guitar), Josh Gomez (guitar), Emmanuel Facio (bass), and John Harvey (drums). Established in 2017, Mourning Sun has built a following and played shows across Texas, including gigs with the likes of Dayseeker, The Plot In You, Like Moths to Flames, The Devil Wears Prada, and Silent Planet.
On February 9th, Mourning Sun dropped their new EP titled Second Skin. That same day, they also released the music video for their song "Spineless," which has already amassed more than 16,000 views on YouTube.
In this episode, Mike talks with Jerecho, Josh, Emmanuel, and John of Mourning Sun about what got them into heavy music, the band's history and formation, giving fans their money's worth with their live shows, their new EP Second Skin, and more.

On 1/31, John dropped a new EP titled TNGNT Nextel Freestyle, Vol. 1, which showcases three of his new beats under his Prod by 315 imprint, a subsidiary of 315 Audio & Media.

Josh is the lyricist/vocalist of the Los Angeles-based alternative metal band Royalty Kult. In a short period of time, Royalty Kult has built a name for themselves in the LA scene, having shared the stage with the likes of Soulfly, Gemini Syndrome, and headlined multiple shows at the historic Whisky a Go Go on the Sunset Strip.
In December 2020, Royalty Kult released their debut album entitled Enjoying the End, the title track of which featured Doc Coyle (The Ex-Man with Doc Coyle podcast, Bad Wolves, God Forbid, Vagus Nerve). On 12/6/22, Royalty Kult dropped another powerful single with a cool feature in "Separation," where the accompanying music video featured former WWE Champion and TNA Hall of Famer Gail Kim-Irvine.
On this episode, Josh speaks with Mike about his lifelong love for music, wrestling, his background in martial arts and respect for Eastern culture, collaborating with the aforementioned Doc Coyle and Gail Kim-Irvine, the highs and lows of chasing his musical dreams with Royalty Kult, and more.

Karamel Klassik is a rap artist/engineer based out of Phoenix, Arizona. Currently, he's at 2D Max Entertainment, a studio located in the greater Salt Lake City, Utah area.
After rehabilitating following a difficult period in his life that involved a scary motorcycle accident, Karamel Klassik resurfaced in late 2022 with a host of new music. In addition to numerous singles and collaborations with other artists, he dropped the three-song EP Insert Title Here on 11/11/22, followed by his album Hell & Back a week later. An introspective and personal record, Hell & Back highlights Karamel Klassik's emotional side and puts his flow on full display.
In this conversation, Karamel Klassik talks with Mike about what he's been up to since his last appearance on the pod in 2021, including the difficulties surrounding his motorcycle accident, connecting with the guys at 2D Max Entertainment in Utah, his rejuvenation for life and his music, the direction he's headed in this year, and more.

Chris plays drums in the California-based crossover hardcore band Split Image, while Joey plays guitar in the California-based metal band Psycho Mantis. Dylan is the creative force behind Reelverse Productions, and also does guitar and vocals in the California-based indie band Slingshot.
In August 2022, Split Image and Psycho Mantis released a split EP entitled Psycho Image Split to promote their "Psycho Image Tour 2022." The tour with Split Image and Psycho Mantis went from late August 2022 through early September 2022, beginning in California and ending in Arizona. Dylan rode with the bands on the tour to put together a documentary about independent artists on the road, shooting everything from live footage, to interviews, to footage from the places they visited. The result was Psycho Image: 2022 Tour Documentary, which fans can watch for free on YouTube.

After releasing their debut EP entitled Scary AF in 2019, Hollywood Nightmare followed that up with their new album Inferno in September.

Originally from Southern California, the Utah-based UA The Duo is a hip hop tandem of brothers Wally and Slow-Mo. Together since 2014, UA The Duo have lived up to the ambition in their name (UA is short for "Underground Ambitionz") with their collaborations and releases over the years.
This year, they dropped their album Bud Brothaz 2 in April, in addition to releasing numerous singles. Among those 2022 singles are "Doing Better" with Jarren Benton, "PUREST" with Gloco, and "Money Knock" with Demrick. Outside of their musical ventures, UA The Duo has also expanded into podcasting with their own Utah-based studio, Lab Junkies Studios, where they record podcasts and rent out the space for others to record as well.

Comprised of Josh (drums), Chris (vocals), Evan (guitar), Trey (guitar) and Mark (bass), Discoveries is a metal band based in Roxboro, North Carolina, which is located about an hour north of Raleigh.
In October, Discoveries dropped their latest single entitled "Tunnel Vision," a hard-hitting song which tackles suicidal thoughts and how depression can warp one's view of reality. The single has amassed over 19,200 Spotify streams since its release, while the accompanying music video has racked up nearly 7,000 YouTube views. Additionally, "Tunnel Vision" has received several reaction videos, including one from heavy music influencer and promoter Hardcore Keem.
