On this episode of March Forth with Mike Bauman, Mike chats with Robert Coyle and Alex Stewart of Mascots!
Established in 2014, Mascots is a pop-punk band from Cincinnati, Ohio. Over the years, they've shared the stage with the likes of Hot Mulligan, Tiny Moving Parts, Everyone Leaves, Microwave, Life Lessons, A Story Told, and A Will Away, among others. In 2017, they also won the opportunity to play the main stage at the Vans Warped Tour in Cincinnati alongside the likes of Beartooth, Neck Deep, and Hands Like Houses.
In 2016, Mascots released their debut EP entitled Nothing To Lose, which was followed by EPs The Good In Me and Time To Time in 2017. Both The Good In Me and Time To Time were recorded with Seth Henderson (Real Friends, Homesafe, Knuckle Puck) at Always Be Genius Recording Studio.
Since that time, Mascots has persevered through the COVID-19 pandemic, and continued to release and work on new music. In April, they dropped a new single entitled "Slipping In The Dark," alongside an accompanying music video. Mascots followed up that release with their latest single "Vertigo," which dropped in May.
On June 28th, Mascots is set to release their new EP entitled Bad News on a Beautiful Day.
On this episode, Robert and Alex talk with Mike about how they got into music, Mascots' formation and Cincy roots, developing their sound, working with Seth Henderson, what it was like getting to play the main stage at Warped Tour in Cincinnati, persevering through the pandemic, the resurgence of pop-punk and emo, and more.

Comprised of Michael, Brandon Steputat, Mike Sahm and Rick Orozco, GrayWeather is a band with roots to the Pacific Northwest that combines elements of metal, active rock, progressive metal, and more to create their own blend of emotionally charged, heavy music.
On April 12th, GrayWeather dropped their debut record entitled The Soma Collective. Featuring the band's 2023 debut single "White Rabbit," their latest single "Parasite" featuring Courtney LaPlante (Spiritbox), as well as a heartfelt tribute to their friend and former bandmate Molly with the song "Pirouette," The Soma Collective is a fantastic, atmospheric debut that's been years in the making for GrayWeather.
On this episode, Jared talks with Mike about how he got into music, eventually picking up the guitar, paying tribute to Molly with the band's name and "Pirouette," working with LaPlante on "Parasite," what it's like being the guitar tech for Periphery, the hard work and perseverance it took to put together The Soma Collective, and more.

Originally from Southern California, the Utah-based UA The Duo is a hip hop tandem of brothers Wally and SlowMo. Together since 2014, UA The Duo have lived up to the ambition in their name (UA is short for "Underground Ambitionz") with their collaborations and releases over the years. Those musical collaborations have included Demrick, XXL Freshman Jarren Benton, and Crunchy Black of Three 6 Mafia, among others.
Outside of their musical ventures, UA The Duo also does podcasting with their own Utah-based studio - Lab Junkies Studios - where they record podcasts and rent out the space for others to record, as well.
In March, SlowMo dropped his solo album entitled Growing Pains.
On this episode of the podcast, SlowMo talks to Mike about the process of making Growing Pains, including the themes of self doubt, perseverance, and chasing dreams on the record, teaming up again with Demrick, and more.

Comprised Milbourn (vocals), and his cousins Tyler Baker (lead guitar) and Brandon Qualkenbush (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Goodbye June is a rock band based in Nashville, Tennessee. On 6/28/24, Goodbye June is releasing their new album entitled Deep in the Trouble. The music video for the album's lead single - "The Hard Way" - has already amassed more than 121,000 YouTube views since its release on 4/12.
In this episode, Landon talks with Mike about making Deep in the Trouble, including it being the band's first record as coproducers, the moment he found his confidence as a lead singer, opening for ZZ Top in La Grange, Texas, the importance of art and communication, delectable chicken parm, and more.

A New York-based photorealist artist, Adam is an athlete who's love for Michael Jordan and art goes back to his childhood growing up on Long Island. His artistic abilities eventually landed him at Syracuse University, where he studied Illustration at the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
After being discovered by a New York Knicks photographer in 2000, Adam earned a prestigious licensing agreement with the NBA. Over the years, the client list for his art has included the likes of Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson, Shaquille O'Neal, Carmelo Anthony, Justin Tuck, Jay-Z and the 40/40 Club, The Ludacris Foundation, and Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc., among many others. Additionally, Adam's love for MJ and hoops has led to photorealistic paintings of numerous sneakers, including classics from the Air Jordan and Kobe lines.
In this episode, Adam speaks with Mike about his early love for Michael Jordan and drawing, growing up as an athlete in Long Island, honing his craft at Syracuse University, getting discovered by a New York Knicks photographer, a dream opportunity to work with the NBA, seeing his work displayed in the NBA Store in Manhattan with his family, what it was like meeting Michael Jordan and Shaq, and more.

Comprised of Justin Tyler (vocals, guitar), Alex Pombar (bass), and Will Brown (guitar), Sunburnt is a pop punk trio from Southern California that stormed onto the scene in 2023 with their own unique blend of pop punk, alternative, pop, and hardcore.
Having played music together for 15 years, the resurgence of pop punk and emo in recent years reignited the fire for Sunburnt to transition from performing cover songs in the genre to creating their own new tunes under a new name. On January 26th, Sunburnt dropped their debut EP entitled In Front of Me, a collection of the singles they dropped since emerging onto the scene.
In addition to the positive online reception Sunburnt has seen via streams and playlist adds, the band has also played the famed Viper Room in Los Angeles, and has a SoCal run of shows lined up this spring, including a 4/19 gig at the House of Blues in San Diego.
On this episode, Justin and Alex of Sunburnt talk with Mike about how they first got into music, their early days playing together and following Warper Tour, the resurgence of pop punk and emo since the pandemic, working with Jayden Seeley, forming their own sound with Sunburnt, and more.

Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Sleep Nation is an alternative rock duo comprised of Merritt (vocals, guitar) and Lauretta (drums). Initially founded in 2010, Sleep Nation has made a name for themselves in the Music City with their own style and energetic live shows.
Their single "I Want You Back" and its accompanying music video got them love from Nashville's rock radio station 102.9 The Buzz in 2014, earning a spot on the station's "Local Buzz Top 25." In 2016, Sleep Nation's single "Slip" off their debut album earned "Local Buzz Cut of the Week."
After becoming a duo in 2020, Sleep Nation has been hard at work releasing numerous singles and videos. This past September, they dropped their sophomore album entitled AND THEN THERE WERE 2, their first release as a two-piece.
In this episode, Bran and Joey talk with Mike about how they first got into music, linking up for Sleep Nation, becoming a two-piece after COVID-19, making their 20-song quasi concept album AND THEN THERE WERE 2, music's importance in their lives, the creativity that goes into their art, and more.

Based in Arizona, Sean is a musician and singer with Midwest roots who has been active in the rock and metal genres for nearly a decade. He currently plays bass on tour in hard rock mainstays Otherwise, in addition to releasing his own solo music under Sean Fitz.
Ryan is a Nashville-based studio and live performing bass player who has toured around the world, both at land and sea. Many will know him from the Poughkeepsie, New York band Matchbook Romance. Their 2006 sophomore album Voices went on to crack the Top 50 of the Billboard 200, while their single "Monsters" became a global hit that is still popular on music streaming platforms to this day.
Sean, Ryan and Shane Gann all teamed up for the single "AMMO," a heartbreak anthem that just dropped on 2/2.
