A Sacramento, California native, Tommy G. is an independent hip hop artist with an alternative jazz-hop style and introspective lyrics. With influences like Mac Miller, Tyler, The Creator, and Marlon Craft, Tommy G. has a catalog that aims to challenge the conventions of mainstream hip hop, while also taking listeners through his own personal journey of depression, addiction, recovery, and sobriety.
After releasing his heartfelt and introspective Blue World EP in 2023, Tommy has already dropped 5 songs in 2024, the latest of which is his single "Up & Down," which released on June 7th.
In this episode, Tommy talks with Mike about how he got into rap and making music, his battles with depression and addiction, his road to recovery and sobriety, learning the business side of music at Chico State, working with Anthony Church, new music in the works, and more.

Based in Pennsylvania, Danny is a drummer and founder of indie label Big Eleanor Records. Inspired by MF DOOM, Danny wanted to collaborate with different artists and create multiple musical projects under different names, which led to the birth of the label.
Since Mike and Danny first talked in 2022, Big Eleanor Records has continued to grow and leave its mark on the independent music scene. In addition to live shows and numerous releases with DMV rapper Shaw Calhoune, the Big El family welcomed two up-and-coming artists to its roster this year in Laddie Moran and Adrian Rose.
In this episode, Danny talks with Mike about the growth of Big Eleanor Records, including touring and playing live shows, bringing Laddie Moran and Adrian Rose onboard, the awesome new music that's coming in 2024 from Shaw, Laddie, and Adrian, doing what he loves and sticking to his purpose, where his work ethic and DIY spirit comes from, and more.

Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, Forever May Fall is a four-piece rock band that's on the rise. Founded in 2017 by vocalist and songwriter Jillyan "Fox" Brennan, Forever May Fall is rounded out by Crevar (guitar/vocals), Crabby (drums), and Patrick "Sweez" Swesey (bass).
After releasing their self-titled, debut LP in 2019, Forever May Fall had their momentum halted from the COVID-19 pandemic and a lineup change. Since that time, the band has honed their craft and polished their sound with the new lineup.
With influences ranging from Evanescence, Bad Omens, Halestorm, Underoath, and Spiritbox, Forever May Fall has put their songwriting and musical chops on full display since the pandemic. Their 2022 single "Aftermath" has garnered over 350,000 streams on Spotify alone, while the music video for their latest single "Who You Are" has over 59,000 YouTube views since its August 2023 release.
Having worked with producers like Joshua Landry (Motionless in White, LØ Spirit, Funeral Portrait), Kile Odell, (Fozzy, Motionless in White, Nita Strauss) and Wes Lauterbach (Lowborn), Forever May Fall is just scratching the surface of their potential with new music in store for 2024.

The Failsafe is a modern rock band that melds soaring riffs, powerful choruses, electronic elements, and pop-inspired vocals for a sound that's both catchy and filled with conviction. Since dropping their LP Erasing Color in 2019, The Failsafe has a musical catalog that's topped 1 million streams. Over the years, they've shard the stage with the likes of Nonpoint, Skillet, Drowning Pool, Saliva, Adelitas Way and Saving Abel, among others.
On May 24th, The Failsafe dropped their latest single entitled "Dying To Exist." In just over a month since its release, "Dying To Exist" has over 77,000 Spotify streams, while the accompanying music video has over 35,000 YouTube views.

Established in 2014, Mascots is a pop-punk band from Cincinnati, Ohio. Over the years, they've shared the stage with the likes of Hot Mulligan, Tiny Moving Parts, Everyone Leaves, Microwave, Life Lessons, A Story Told, and A Will Away, among others. In 2017, they also won the opportunity to play the main stage at the Vans Warped Tour in Cincinnati alongside the likes of Beartooth, Neck Deep, and Hands Like Houses.
In 2016, Mascots released their debut EP entitled Nothing To Lose, which was followed by EPs The Good In Me and Time To Time in 2017. Both The Good In Me and Time To Time were recorded with Seth Henderson (Real Friends, Homesafe, Knuckle Puck) at Always Be Genius Recording Studio.
Since that time, Mascots has persevered through the COVID-19 pandemic, and continued to release and work on new music. In April, they dropped a new single entitled "Slipping In The Dark," alongside an accompanying music video. Mascots followed up that release with their latest single "Vertigo," which dropped in May.
On June 28th, Mascots is set to release their new EP entitled Bad News on a Beautiful Day.
On this episode, Robert and Alex talk with Mike about how they got into music, Mascots' formation and Cincy roots, developing their sound, working with Seth Henderson, what it was like getting to play the main stage at Warped Tour in Cincinnati, persevering through the pandemic, the resurgence of pop-punk and emo, and more.

Comprised of Michael, Brandon Steputat, Mike Sahm and Rick Orozco, GrayWeather is a band with roots to the Pacific Northwest that combines elements of metal, active rock, progressive metal, and more to create their own blend of emotionally charged, heavy music.
On April 12th, GrayWeather dropped their debut record entitled The Soma Collective. Featuring the band's 2023 debut single "White Rabbit," their latest single "Parasite" featuring Courtney LaPlante (Spiritbox), as well as a heartfelt tribute to their friend and former bandmate Molly with the song "Pirouette," The Soma Collective is a fantastic, atmospheric debut that's been years in the making for GrayWeather.

Originally from Southern California, the Utah-based UA The Duo is a hip hop tandem of brothers Wally and SlowMo. Together since 2014, UA The Duo have lived up to the ambition in their name (UA is short for "Underground Ambitionz") with their collaborations and releases over the years. Those musical collaborations have included Demrick, XXL Freshman Jarren Benton, and Crunchy Black of Three 6 Mafia, among others.
Outside of their musical ventures, UA The Duo also does podcasting with their own Utah-based studio - Lab Junkies Studios - where they record podcasts and rent out the space for others to record, as well.
In March, SlowMo dropped his solo album entitled Growing Pains.
