Comprised of Adam Whitener (lead guitar), Matt Eble (lead vocals), Naveed Ajam (rhythm guitar), Ben Merte (bass) and Anthony DeMartinis (drums), Lake Mosaic is a band based in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area that describes its genre-blending sound as Midwest Easycore.
Fusing elements of pop-punk, easycore and Midwest emo, Lake Mosaic dropped its debut full-length album entitled Perseverance on February 11th. With a combination of outstanding musicianship and heartfelt lyrics that deal with themes of healing, emotional trauma, recovery and self-determination, Perseverance is a cohesive, nine-track debut that takes listeners on a trip from start to finish.
In this episode, Adam, Matt, Naveed and Anthony talk with Mike about how they got into music, the formation of Lake Mosaic, the lyrical themes which went into the band's debut album Perseverance, and more.

In September 2021, Promises Unsaid released their debut full-length album entitled Growing Pains, which they recorded with Randy Pasquarella of Pasquarella Recordings. This Friday, February 25th, they're dropping their latest single "Mind Play" off their forthcoming record!

Based in California, Dylan is a creative talent whose work and interests span across numerous artistic mediums, including music, music videos, short films, comics, and more. In 2021 alone, Dylan's band Slingshot released their album entitled The Straw Man in September, which was followed by the release of his short film entitled Me & You in October. Additionally, he put out Fall and Summer issues of his Reelverse Magazine.
On this addition of the podcast, Dylan speaks with Mike about his love for numerous artistic mediums, including his early musical memories, his interest in film, the inspirations behind The Straw Man and Me & You, turning negatives into positives, working with a talented and inspiring group of friends, not quitting on your dreams, and more.

Based in Pennsylvania, Danny is not only a diehard Philadelphia sports fan, but also a beast of a drummer. He plays drums in Advocaat and Homemade Ski Mask, bands both rooted in punk, but with completely different vibes and musical styles.
Inspired by MF DOOM, Danny wanted to collaborate with different songwriters and create multiple musical projects under different names, which led to the birth of Big Eleanor Records. In 2021 alone, Advocaat's Dark Patterns EP, Homemade Ski Mask's Redballbluechicago EP, and Shaw Calhoune's MARIANA EP all released under the Big Eleanor Records imprint, in addition to a pair of skate decks.
In this episode, Danny talks with Mike about how he got into punk music, his ability and work ethic behind the drum kit, the impetus for starting Big Eleanor Records, the importance of educators, and more.

Rounded out by Tyler Small (co-vocals), Chase Papariello (co-vocals), Kenjamin Smiertelny (bass) and Sam Whelton (drums), Saving Vice is a metalcore band from Vermont that started in 2017. Over the years, they've played festivals like Warped Tour, the iMatter Festival, Heavy Fest, and recently toured with Dropout Kings.
In 2020, Saving Vice followed up their 2018 EP Colder Than Dark with their debut LP Hello There. On 12/20/21, they dropped their latest single "Dying to Watch," which is closing in on 50,000 Spotify streams less than a month after its release. Additionally, the accompanying music video for "Dying to Watch" has amassed nearly 120,000 YouTube views.
In this conversation, Robbie speaks with Mike about Saving Vice's sound, his riffs and guitars, developing as a producer with Hell Here Studios, working with In Shallows on their debut EP Beneath The Surface, getting sober, and more.

A longtime public address announcer, Bobb Vergiels is approaching his 4,000th game in 2022 as a public address announcer. Now 69-years-old, Bobb's voice, catchphrases and sense of humor behind the mic became synonymous with the Toledo Storm, a former ECHL hockey franchise in Toledo, Ohio from 1991 - 2007.
Over the years, Bobb's other gigs as public address announcer beyond his time with the Storm have included the Toledo Mud Hens, Toledo Walleye, University of Michigan, Wayne State University, University of Toledo, and Detroit Lions, among others. Bobb also spent 15 seasons as the public address announcer for his favorite team, the Detroit Tigers.
In this episode, Bobb speaks with Mike about his love for sports as a kid, getting his start in broadcasting back in 1970, stories from his days with the Storm, his sense of humor behind the mic, his time with the Tigers, getting a second chance to broadcast again after undergoing triple bypass surgery, and more.

Comprised of Bobby Wharton (guitar), Colin Trombley (vocals), Nick Keane (drums) and Cam Bostwick (bass, clean vocals), In Shallows is a metalcore band based in Keene, New Hampshire. Formed in December, 2019, the band just released their debut EP entitled Beneath The Surface on October 29th of this year.
Recorded at Hell Here Studios with Saving Vice guitarist Robbie Litchfield, In Shallows shows heavy music fans that they're a force to be reckoned with on Beneath The Surface. From tackling mental health in their lyrics, to their ability to alternate between Trombley's hardcore vocals and Bostwick's clean choruses, In Shallows' first EP represents a cohesive and cathartic metalcore record that should definitely intrigue fans of the genre.

On this episode of March Forth with Mike Bauman, Mike chats with Keith "Majick" Woggon.
Tragically, Keith passed away from his battle with cancer on December 3rd, 2021 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 10, 1958 and led an interesting life where music was always around.
Growing up with a musical father, Keith eventually picked up the guitar and started playing. Keith's dad also helped spark his interest in film and television. After graduating from Whitmer High School in Toledo, Keith spent some time out in Montana, where he was studying Film & Television at Montana State.
Over the years, Keith would apply his loves for music in film in other avenues of his life. He spent 20 years as a music photographer, having shot live photos of the likes of Aerosmith, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Joe Walsh, among others. Additionally, he helped set up the sound on stage for numerous musician friends of his over the years.
In this episode, Keith talks with Mike about how Keith's dad helped spark his interest in music and film, his time in Montana, eventually making his way to Memphis and getting into the local music scene there, his time and friends in Hot Springs, and more.
