On this episode of March Forth with Mike Bauman, Mike chats with Ali Slater!
Based in NYC, Ali is a singer-songwriter who has been playing piano since she was a child. After giving up on music in college, Ali decided to kickstart her music dreams following the deaths of a coworker and her high school music teacher Joe Carbone during the pandemic.
A big step towards that musical dream was her debut EP LUS!D, which just released on April 8th. The five-track EP shows off Ali's melodic and songwriting abilities as she gives listeners an honest take on her dating experiences with men. It's an authentic listen from front-to-back that's already catching the attention of pop-punk and emo fans.
In this conversation, Ali speaks with Mike about how she got into music and the piano at a young age, the impetus behind her chasing her music dreams during the pandemic, connecting with producer Matt Squire, LUS!D, the abuse and mental health issues she's endured, and more.
This episode of March Forth with Mike Bauman also features the title track off Ali Slater's debut EP LUS!D, available where you get your music!
