On this episode of March Forth with Mike Bauman, Mike chats with Sammy Boller!
Based out of Detroit, Michigan, guitarist Sammy Boller burst onto the national spotlight in 2012 when Joe Satriani picked him as the winner of Guitar Center's "Master Satriani" competition. He went on to play guitar in Citizen Zero, whose single "Go (Let Me Save You)" peaked at #17 on the Billboard "Mainstream Rock" chart in 2016. After his time with Citizen Zero, Boller continued to refine his guitar skills, releasing his debut instrumental album Kingdom Of The Sun in March 2020 on Candyrat Records.
On this episode of the podcast, Sammy talks with Mike about his love for music and guitar, including having musical parents, growing up in Detroit, the rich music history of the Motor City, being inspired by the late great Eddie Van Halen, being part of the Friedman Amplification roster, Kingdom Of The Sun, his new band Pharaohs, and more.
