On this episode of March Forth with Mike Bauman, Mike chats with Austin Gold and Eric Cassidy of Rushing Spring!
Comprised of Gold (Rhythm Guitar, Vocals), Cassidy (Drums), Jake Delventhal (Bass) and Rob Ettinger (Lead Guitar), Rushing Spring formed in 2018 in Danbury, Connecticut. Combining elements of 70's power pop, 80's punk, 90's indie, and 00's emo, Rushing Spring has songs which range from the introspective, slower tempo of their single "Somebody," to the more upbeat, rhythmic nature of "Journeys."
The aforementioned "Somebody" premiered on Alternative Press back in February, while the music video for "Journeys" premiered on New Noise Magazine on May 28th, one day before the release of their EP What We Were Is Not Who We Are.
On this episode, Mike talks with Austin and Eric about the origins of Rushing Spring and their sound, including Austin's sobriety, panic attacks, mental health, lyrics drawn from life experiences, punk's connection with youth, and more.
This episode of March Forth with Mike Bauman also features "Journeys" off Rushing Spring's latest EP What We Were Is Not Who We Are, available where you get your music!
