Comprised of Miranda Scythe (vocals), Radames Colon (guitar), Trent Roach (guitar), Steve Hughes (bass), and Ian Blattel (drums), The Static Wake is an eccentric modern metal band from Cleveland, Ohio. Originally formed in 2019, The Static Wake announced a new era of the band at the beginning of 2026, with Rad transitioning to guitar and welcoming Miranda as the band's new vocalist. With the refreshed lineup, The Static Wake hit fans with their single "Blood Moon" on March 6th, followed by their latest single "Dead Eyes" on August 7th.
This October, The Static Wake will release their new EP entitled System Reboot on 10/16. On 10/17, they'll be performing at The Foundry in Cleveland as part of the "Halloween Freakshow 2026" on a bill that also features Dead Cassette, Who They Fear, Remnants, Unsettled, Final Confession, and Death & Exhale.
On this episode, The Static Wake talks with Mike about this new era of the band, welcoming Miranda as their new vocalist, working with Danny Cullman, their shared love of horror movies, making "Blood Moon" and "Dead Eyes," their forthcoming EP System Reboot, the Cleveland music scene, and more.
