On episode 216 of March Forth with Mike Bauman, Mike chats with guitarist William Falkner!
A native of Huntsville, Alabama, William is a Nashville-based guitarist who currently performs with Sleep Nation, Dalton Davis, and Jenna Kay, among others. His love for music and guitar stems back to his childhood in Alabama, where the support of his parents and guitar instructor/mentor Jeff Beasley propelled him to chase his dreams.
A decade of guitar lessons and mentorship from Beasley led to William taking two semesters at the acclaimed Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, where he was surrounded by fellow talented creatives from around the world. Those experiences help foster William's love of guitar, kickstarting a musical career which has seen him perform in multiple genres with multiple artists, ultimately leading him to the Music City.
In this episode, William talks with Mike about his early love of guitar, the support and direction of his parents and Beasley, getting the opportunity to study at Berklee College of Music, their shared love of AC/DC and Metallica, having the courage to chase your dreams as a creative despite doubts and naysayers, their favorite riffs, and more.
This episode also features the song "DEAD MAN'S GLOW" from Sleep Nation, available where you get your music!
